Covid-19 and supply situation
In the unprecedented circumstances the world faces in the ongoing COVID-19 crisis we want to give you an update from GC Rieber Oils AS.
First and foremost we hope that you, your family and colleagues are safe and healthy, and wish a speedy recovery to anyone affected by this.
We have implemented widespread measures to help ensure the consistent production of our products. After the pandemic was declared the 12th of March, we decided to move all office staff to home office and change all meetings to Skype or phone. For the remaining production staff, we have implemented a range of measures to limit the risk of infection, including no visitors policy, new changeover procedures for shift workers (they do not meet physically), changed lunch and break routines, additional washing and sanitizer routines to mention a few steps.
Our factory is still running at full speed and has not experienced any issues so far. We continue to have a large raw material stock of our key ingredient fish oil and we have taken steps with all other raw materials to ensure our risk exposure is reduced.
We have coverage of finished goods in stock to ensure less risk exposure on future supplies, also in the event we may be forced to close. In this regard we also appreciate your continued support to help us plan our forecast based on your requirements.
As international supply chains face disruptions, our Supply Chain team is continuously monitoring the situation and reviewing the impact it may have on our outbound logistics.
Our focus is to support your business through these challenging times and to minimize any impact to your operations.
Please contact your GC Rieber Oils representative for any further questions you may have or to review your orders and forecast.
